Community development

Community development aims to enable poor communities to be self reliant to fulfill the lives they desire: economically, socially , vocationally etc…poor villagers are furnished with grants to revolve in the form of small income generating projects , while local committees in every village assist the poor in the form of social assistance (cloths, home equipments, emergency health support etc...)

So far, several projects were implemented assisting thousands of families.

Life schools: The main objective of this programme is the rehabilitation of women and girls who have dropped out of school. The curriculum includes a mixture of basic education, awareness seminars and practical life skills to equip the women to deal positively with all aspects of life and to be agents of change in their communities.

Healthy Housing: Installing latrines and connections to clean water supplies in village homes, and renovating houses in deprived areas.

Widows and their children: Providing economic, social, psychological assistance

We empower widows to provide basic necessities for their families by offering loans, and helping them to develop their abilities to manage a micro enterprise.

Capacity building: Raising the capacity of local civil society organizations working in the field of development, by training and mentoring. Shepherds also work hand in hand with civil society organizations .

Advocacy: Helping poor people to obtain such documents as birth certificates and ID cards and to claim their rights.

Ministry to vulnerable and abused women: Running a shelter for women and their children who are at risk or have suffered abuse, and promoting their psychological, social, spiritual and vocational rehabilitation
